Circle of Security - Parenting

At times, all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

So you have heard about Circle of Security, but what is it?

The Circle of Security (COS) is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. This parenting focused workshop, and the graphic designed around it, is intended to help caregivers increase their awareness of their children’s needs and whether their own responses meet those needs. Each workshop is facilitated by a COS Registered Educator and guided by DVD content, making for a relaxed, interactive workshop session for everyone.

• Would you like to better understand your own – and your child’s – attachment needs?

• Do you find your parenting “buttons” regularly being pushed?

• Would you like to better relate to your child and support their independence?

• Are you going to be a new parent and you want to learn about attachment now?

Program details

The Circle of Security Parenting is an 8 week program for parents and carers. Each session is about 90 minutes long. We do not offer condensed courses as the course is designed to be delivered over 8 weeks to ensure you have time to reflect and get the most from it. Childcare is not currently available however we welcome children to come along with you if you cannot find anyone to mind them.

Here at Bright Day Consulting we run the course in workshops of between 6 and 10 individuals and we can also run them as one on one sessions should you prefer this. We also offer refresher courses if you wish.
